The Video of a Building on Fire Was Shot in Ajman, UAE

Contrary to the viral claims associating it with France, the video actually depicts a massive fire breaking out at a residential high-rise in Ajman, UAE. 

Insider Corner, a Twitter account, shared the video from a different view on June 27, clearly indicating its location. The caption of the video states, "BREAKING: Large fire erupts at residential high-rise in Ajman, UAE."

Additionally, Sky News' YouTube channel also released a video capturing the same scene from a different angle. 

The video's description states that a massive fire occurred at a high-rise residential building in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. There were no immediate reports of any injuries resulting from the fire.

Moreover, The Times's YouTube channel published multiple shots of the same incident, depicting a massive fire in a building located in Ajman, United Arab Emirates.

Massive Fire Engulfs a Building in Ajman, UAE

Flames engulfed a section of the building, spreading from the ground to the upper floors. Falling debris was observed as emergency services arrived at the scene. Extensive damage occurred across multiple floors of the building. Although there are no immediate reports of injuries, UAE officials have not provided any comments on the incident. 

Later, Ajman Police confirmed on Twitter that civil defense teams effectively extinguished the fire in the residential tower.

France Riots Cause $1 Billion in Damages

Riots erupted in France on June 27 following the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk during a traffic stop in a Paris suburb. The financial toll of the riots has exceeded $1 billion, causing significant challenges for businesses nationwide. These riots occurred shortly after previous protests and strikes related to pension reforms had subsided.

MEDEF, a prominent French business association, has reported that the damages resulting from the riots have surpassed €1 billion ($1.1 billion). French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire disclosed to CNN affiliate BFMTV that approximately 400 bank branches and 500 corner shops were specifically targeted by protesters.
