Florentino Perez is Not Stepping Down

As per the official statement from the Madrid club on August 5, there was a rumor circulating on social media alleging that Florentino Perez was contemplating stepping down as president. 

However, the club has categorically denied these claims and stated that the rumors are entirely false. They attributed the spread of these rumors to certain interests that are disconnected from reality. In essence, Real Madrid aims to quash the speculation and reaffirms Perez's position as the club's president.

The translated official statement reads, "Faced with a rumor that appeared on some social networks stating that president Florentino Perez was supposedly considering leaving the presidency of the club, Real Madrid CF wants to state the following: That these rumors are totally false and obey some interests that are nothing they have to do with reality. And that at the next General Assembly of Representative Members of Real Madrid, the club's Board of Directors will not propose on the agenda any point in which the name of Real Madrid City is discussed."
