The Photo Shows Resistance Fighters Maneuver in 2022

The photo in question does not show a recent arrest of Israeli soldiers by Palestinians. It captures the activities of resistance factions during a maneuver in December 2022.

The Alaqsa Voice website featured this photo in an article published on December 28, 2022, covering the maneuver that took place at that time.

The Joint Chamber of Palestinian Resistance Factions in Gaza announced the execution of an exercise near the northern border fence of the Gaza Strip. The exercise involved elite fighters and included the use of light and medium weapons.

This exercise marks the culmination of an advanced joint training period for elite members of the resistance factions. The maneuvers encompassed various tactical scenarios, with one of the most prominent being a surprise attack behind enemy lines.

Israel Declares a “State of War”

Israel has declared a "state of war" as intense clashes continue in various areas in southern Israel, following a surprise attack by Hamas. Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for mortar strikes launched from Lebanon into the occupied Shebaa Farms, and Israel has responded with artillery strikes.

The situation is escalating amid growing concerns of a potential ground invasion of Gaza, prompted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's threat to transform the besieged Palestinian enclave into a "deserted island."

As of the latest reports, health officials state that the death toll among Palestinians has reached 421, while media reports indicate that more than 700 Israelis have been affected by the ongoing conflict.

Hamas's operation followed a series of widespread Israeli settler attacks, heightened tensions at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem, and a record number of Palestinian casualties.
