Emerging story

Social media users widely shared a video clip purporting to feature Israel bombing a loaded car with Hamas members during the ongoing Al-Aqsa Flood.

An X user published the video along with the caption, “From Being Happy to Imagining Hell. See how quickly Israel wipes a smug smile off the Hamas terrorist’s face.”

Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the circulating footage and found the claim to be misleading.

The video clip is outdated and unrelated to the ongoing Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

An Outdated Video from Syria, Not Palestine

Contrary to the viral claim, the original video shows bodies of individuals associated with the Assad group being propelled into the air after being exploded.

Orient News’ YouTube channel uploaded the video on March 4, 2019, stating that the video was shot in Syria

The video shows the convoy's passage through Deir ez-Zor, Syria, with a member filming the convoy before the explosive device detonated in one of the convoy's vehicles. The exact time of the incident is not specified.

The recording revealed that the explosion occurred seconds after the group members filming the video said, "God and the Syrian Army."

Gaza Bleeds Due to Ongoing Israeli Airstrikes

Gaza's hospitals are facing difficult challenges as the Israeli army continues its bombardment of the Gaza Strip. This comes four days after Hamas launched an Al-Aqsa Flood, involving rockets and fighters, into Israel. It has been reported that the Israeli occupation bombed close to the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

In response to the dire situation, the Palestinian Health Ministry and the World Health Organization (WHO) are jointly calling for the establishment of a humanitarian corridor. This corridor would facilitate the entry of urgently needed medical supplies into Gaza's overwhelmed hospitals.

Gazans are currently in a precarious situation due to a recent military strike that targeted a telecommunications company in Gaza. This attack has severely disrupted communication networks in the region, further adding to the challenges faced by the population.

Besides, newly released footage from a surveillance camera mounted on a car shared hours ago proved that Al-Qassam Brigades are still moving toward settlements inside Israel. The video captures moments of an attack by fighters from the Al-Qassam Brigades on settlements near the Gaza border.

As of Tuesday midday, more than 770 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed and more than 900 in Israel. Hamas's surprise attack on Saturday followed Israeli settlers' recent incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound and a significant number of Palestinian casualties caused by Israel in recent months.
