Israel Declares Full Blockage of Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged an unprecedented offensive against Hamas following an operation that has resulted in over 900 casualties in Israel. In retaliation, Israel has launched extensive airstrikes on Gaza, leading to over 687 Palestinian fatalities, as reported by Gaza's health ministry.

Hamas has issued a threat, stating that civilian hostages would be executed and their deaths broadcast if Israel continues to target individuals in Gaza without prior warning. Hamas says they have more than 100 hostages, including Israeli army officers.

Hamas’s surprise operation on Saturday came after Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in recent months, killing a number of Palestinians.
