Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the viral footage and found the claim to be misleading.

Misbar’s thorough investigation revealed the footage to be outdated and unrelated to the ongoing war on Gaza.

2016 Video of a Palestinian Daring the Israeli Occupation Forces

Abbs Winston, an X account that supports the Palestinian cause, posted a screenshot from the video on July 29, 2016, under the caption, "The little boy, with his homelands flag, defies IOF at the weekly march in Ni'lin village West of Ramallah today."

In the video, a Palestinian father accuses Israeli soldiers of killing children and challenges them to open fire on his son, just as they are accustomed to shooting young children like him. Besides, the footage does not show the soldiers attempting to harm the father, refuting the claim of using the child as a human shield.

Israel's Continuous Air Strikes Killed Over 1417 Palestinian

A severe restriction has been imposed by an Israeli minister, preventing the entry of electricity, fuel, and humanitarian aid into Gaza until Hamas releases all captives.

Officials in Gaza have raised the alarm about the healthcare system's collapse, caused by Israel's intense bombardment and a complete blockade. Israel air strikes have now reached 1,417 people, while in Israel, the number of casualties has risen to 1,300.

UNRWA urgently requires $104 million to support its humanitarian efforts over the next 90 days. These funds will address critical needs, including food, non-food items, healthcare, shelter, and protection for up to 250,000 individuals sheltering in UNRWA facilities across Gaza and an additional 250,000 Palestinian refugees in the community. Priority will be given to vulnerable groups, including women, children, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly.
