During the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, a widely circulated video was alleged to show a group of Israeli soldiers being struck by a missile.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the footage and found the claim to be misleading.
After conducting a thorough reverse image search, Misbar's team found that the video dated back to 2016 in Syria. It shows an attempt by Assad's regime and its supporting militias to storm the Air Force Technical College in the Ramousa area, south of Aleppo.
According to Aljazeera, the Aleppo Liberation Operations Room, affiliated with the armed opposition, reported that they killed two groups of Assad's regime forces while attempting to storm the Air Force Technical Academy. They also claimed to have destroyed a tank using an anti-tank missile in the same area. Additionally, they detected a violent attack by pro-regime militias on opposition sites in Ramousa.
