Emerging story
A recently shared viral video is claiming to show a massive pro-Palestinian rally in France of almost 1 million people. The video shows a sea of people marching through the streets.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulating video and found the claim to be misleading.
The Video Predates the Claimed Pro-Palestine Demonstrations in France
Misbar's team found that the video dated back to 6 of October 2023, which means it predates Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the pro-Palestine marches in Europe. According to Planeta do Futebol on their X account, the video which is taken by Marcelarafael, ESPN presenter, shows the path of Palmeiras fans to Allianz Parque.
Allianz Parque is the official stadium of Palmeiras that had a Copa Libertadores Semi-final match against BOCA JUNIORS on Oct 6, 2023.
Urgent International Attention Needed as Death Toll Rises and Suffering Intensifies
The Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip continues for the twenty-third consecutive day, with an unprecedented escalation that targets civilians. The Israeli airstrikes have, up until now, claimed the lives of more than 8,500 Palestinians, including 3,324 children, 2,062 women, and 460 elderly individuals. Additionally, more than 20,242 people have been wounded, according to the figures announced by the Ministry of Health in Gaza on Sunday.
The situation in Gaza remains dire, as the relentless attacks have caused immense suffering and devastation.
