The Claim

A video  shows a woman burning the French flag during a pro-Palestinian rally in Paris.

Emerging story

In the wake of the ongoing war on Gaza, a widely shared video allegedly shows a woman burning the French flag during a pro-Palestinian rally in Paris.

The video is shared with the claim that there are anti-Western protests taking place in Europe with caption, โ€œThe burning of French flags during a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Paris: it is not just a war against Israel. This is a war against the entire West, democratic values โ€‹โ€‹and human values โ€‹โ€‹as we know them.โ€

Misbarโ€™s Analysis

Misbar investigated the circulating video and found the claim to be misleading.

Misbar's team found the video published on TanjaNews TV YouTube channel with the title: โ€œBurning the flag of the State of France in front of its consulate in Tangier.โ€

Also, the video contains several clues that suggest it was filmed in Morocco, not France. The red patch with a gold crown and green star worn by the police in the video is the same Morocco police badge.

Escalating Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza as Hospitals Cease Operations

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, a significant number of hospitals in Gaza, specifically 18 out of 35, are no longer operational. The ongoing humanitarian crisis in the besieged enclave has led to the closure of 71% of primary-care facilities in Gaza due to either damage caused by Israeli bombardment or a shortage of fuel. The remaining open hospitals are facing limitations in their services and are gradually shutting down their wards.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced an increase in the number of casualties since the start of the Israeli aggression on the 7th of October, reaching 10,569, including 4,324 children and 2,823 women.

The Israeli occupation army continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 34th consecutive day.
