Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be misleading.

Misbar's team found that the video is outdated and unrelated to the current war on the Gaza Strip. The video dates back to August, 2023 and does not depict Israeli soldiers inside Hamas tunnels in Gaza.

An Israeli Account Claims That the Video Depicts a Raid on a Weapons Workshop in Ramallah

The video was published on August 31, 2023, nearly two months before the Israeli ground invasion into the Gaza Strip. At that time, its publishers claimed it depicted weapons confiscated in Ramallah, West Bank. While Misbar could not verify this claim, the video's release in August proves it does not depict Israeli soldiers inside tunnels belonging to Hamas in the Gaza Strip during the ongoing war.

On the same day, The Times of Israel reported that Israeli police and army forces raided a clandestine Palestinian workshop involved in manufacturing and trading weapons, in the village of Beitunia in Ramallah. The report mentioned the arrest of a 26-year-old suspect and the seizure of numerous weapons, firearms, and other equipment.

The newspaper also stated that during the raid, Palestinian youth threw stones and Molotov cocktails at the Israeli military forces, who dispersed them forcefully. In the same context, during nighttime raids into West Bank neighborhoods, occupying troops apprehended 17 Palestinians wanted by Israeli authorities.

Ongoing Clashes in Gaza Between Israel and Resistance Factions

The claim coincides with ongoing fighting in multiple fronts west of the city of Gaza between the Israeli occupation forces and the Palestinian resistance. On Saturday, November 11, Al-Qassam Brigades stated that they targeted a gathering of infiltrating Israeli vehicles west of Erez. On Sunday, they declared the targeting of an Israeli infantry unit with an anti-personnel explosive device in the Khuza'a area, east of Khan Yunis.

While the Israeli occupation intensified its raids on Al-Shifa Medical Complex in the heart of Gaza City, it also bombed a maternity hospital, resulting in the tragic loss of two female doctors.
