In the post, he claimed that the released Israeli hostage, Maya Regev, will continue her treatment in Paris after doctors in Israel failed to provide both physical and psychological care. Additionally, he claimed that, as per medical reports, Maya's friend stated that she was sexually assaulted by more than one man.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be fake, as Maya Regev’s medical records did not state that she was a victim of rape or that she requires treatment in Paris.
Maya Regev Is in a Stable State
The Israeli Health Ministry stated that Maya Regev, released from captivity in Gaza on Sunday, November 26, arrived at the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba for immediate medical follow-up, where her condition was reported as stable.
According to the newspaper Israel Hayom, upon Maya's arrival, she was received by a multidisciplinary team that conducted an initial medical assessment followed by a comprehensive evaluation to decide on the required treatment accordingly.
Doctors described Maya’s condition as “moderate." Dr. Shlomi Kodesh, the Soroka general-director, said that Maya’s life is not in danger, but she has to undergo surgery as a result of being shot on October 7.
Dr. Kodesh added that Maya is expected to make a full recovery, and the hospital’s staff are providing her and her family with complete support.
Additionally, there was no mention of rape or the need for treatment in Paris in the statements released by the hospital’s management or in Israeli media outlets that interviewed Maya and her family, including Haaretz, Times of Israel, Israel Today, Yediot Ahronot, and i24.
