The protest aimed to criticize McDonald's and Burger King for their limited use of French meat in their products. The farmers strongly voiced their concerns against the fast-food giants, accusing them of relying on foreign meat (about 50%) while neglecting French meat for the production of hamburgers intended for the French market.
