Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be misleading.

The video clip portrays a woman who has genuinely lost her children in the city of Deir Al-Balah.

An Intense Israeli Airstrike Targets the City of Deir Al-Balah

The video was first published by the Palestinian journalist Hani Abu Rezeq on his Instagram account on December 3. He described it as depicting a woman screaming 'I performed CPR for him' after seeing her children and relatives among the victims and the injured.

Abu Rezeq confirmed to Misbar that the footage was captured at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Deir Al-Balah, which had experienced intense Israeli airstrikes. He also clarified that several journalists had arrived at the hospital to cover the massacres resulting from the intense Israeli airstrikes. Many martyrs, injured individuals, and their families were present at the hospital.

The Israeli military aircraft conducted a series of airstrikes near the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, in addition to several other strikes that targeted Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip and Yafa Street in Gaza City.

Al Jazeera aired footage depicting the arrival of martyrs and wounded individuals at the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the Deir Al-Balah area of the central Gaza Strip following the bombing of civilians' homes near the Nusseirat Towers.

The Ongoing Israeli Aggression on Gaza

The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has so far killed over 17,000 Palestinians and caused injuries to another 46,000, according to the latest statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The Ministry has reported facing significant challenges in tallying the casualties due to ongoing bombardment, with a large number of them remaining under rubble and in the streets.

The Number of Displaced Individuals in the Gaza Strip

On Thursday, December 7, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Ashraf al-Qudra, reported that on the 62nd day of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, "1.9 million displaced individuals in shelters are facing the dangers of famine, disease spread, and epidemics." He pointed out that hundreds of thousands of displaced people, including pregnant women, children, those with chronic illnesses, and the wounded, are at risk of death due to lack of nutrition and healthcare.
