Yemen's Houthis Claim Ballistic Missile and Drone Attacks on Israel

Yemen's Houthi rebels have asserted that they have launched a significant number of ballistic missiles and drones towards Israel, with a warning of future attacks. The Israeli military confirmed the destruction of an unidentified "aerial target" over the Red Sea, assuring that there was no danger to civilians.

The incident prompted air raid sirens in the renowned Red Sea tourist destination of Eilat, causing residents to seek shelter. Furthermore, the Israeli military reported the use of the "Arrow" aerial defense system to intercept a surface-to-surface missile fired towards its territory, marking the system's first deployment since the outbreak of conflict with Hamas on October 7. Yahya Saree, a spokesperson for the Houthi military, declared that this operation was the third aimed at Israel, emphasizing the continuation of strikes until Israeli aggression ceases. Prior to this, a senior Houthi official stated that the Iran-backed Yemeni group had dispatched drones towards southern Israel, claiming these drones as belonging to Yemen.

High Casualty Count in Gaza as Israeli Attacks Persist

According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, over 18,600 individuals have lost their lives in Israeli assaults since October 7. The Israeli Forces have reported striking over 22,000 targets in Gaza since the start of the war. Nearly half of the air-to-ground munitions utilized by Israel in Gaza have been assessed by U.S. intelligence as unguided.
