Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be misleading. The Jordanian National Center for Security and Crisis Management, the responsible authority, refuted the authenticity of the information presented in the video in an exclusive statement provided to Misbar.

Misbar Arabic contacted the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management, which refuted the veracity of the information presented in the video. The Center clarified that the mobile homes shown in the video, located in the Al-Azraq area, close to Al-Harrana Palace, have been under construction since the middle of the current year as part of a national strategic plan to mitigate risks, including crises and natural disasters. These developments are unrelated to the current events in the Gaza Strip.

Additionally, on December 26, the official National Center's account on the X platform released a clarifying statement confirming that the mobile homes featured in the video “aim to test national capabilities in response and rescue operations.” The statement explained that this action was taken in response to disasters and crises experienced in the region, such as the devastating earthquakes in Morocco and Turkey.

Jordan’s Position on the Forced Displacement of Gaza’s Population

It is worth noting that Jordan’s publicly declared position on the forcible displacement of Gaza residents has been clear since the start of the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip, and it has been reiterated on multiple occasions.

On October 13, King Abdullah II met with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, emphasizing the urgent need to open humanitarian corridors for the delivery of medical and relief aid to the Gaza Strip. He underscored the significance of halting escalation and war, as well as protecting civilians.

As he cautioned against any attempt to displace Palestinians from all Palestinian territories or cause their displacement, he stressed the importance of not transferring the crisis to neighboring countries and exacerbating the refugee issue.

Meanwhile, during a meeting with the heads of parties, committees, and the permanent office of the House of Representatives, Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh stated that “any attempts or creation of conditions to displace Palestinians from Gaza or the West Bank are rejected and Jordan will consider it a declaration of war.” He affirmed Jordan’s support for the Egyptian position on this issue, emphasizing that the rightful place for the Palestinian people is their homeland, not elsewhere. He reiterated the goal of achieving their legitimate rights through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with its capital in East Jerusalem, based on the 1967 borders, as part of the two-state solution.

Affirming this stance, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated during the 19 Security Dialogue Summit in Manama last November, “We will never allow that (the displacement of Palestinians). It is a war crime and a direct threat to our national security.”
