Misbar's team found that the man featured in the image is not Epstein.
The picture was shared by a Swift fan website, who identified the man standing beside her as Lipman, the CEO and co-founder of Republic Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. Swift signed a deal with this company in 2018.
Clarifying the Jeffrey Epstein-Related Court Documents-Release
The circulation of the claim came after the extensive coverage and analysis surrounding the recently unsealed court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
In 2019, Epstein was charged with sex trafficking conspiracy and sex trafficking involving underage girls, resulting in his arrest, imprisonment, and eventual suicide. Prior to his death, his 2008 plea deal with Florida prosecutors, which allowed him to evade federal charges by pleading guilty to lesser state charges, had come under investigation.
