Also, we found that the website of the U.S. Department of Defense published an identical image to the recently circulated video, stating that U.S. aircraft were seen flying in coordinated formations above the Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth. Alongside the carrier, an air-cushioned landing craft can be observed transiting in the Atlantic Ocean on May 17, 2021.

U.S. Warship Strikes Houthi Radar Site in Yemen to Deter Attacks on Maritime Vessels

These claims spread after the strike against a Houthi radar site in Yemen occurred on Saturday morning, local time according to the U.S. Central Command. The USS Carney, a U.S. warship, utilized Tomahawk missiles to carry out the operation. The strike was deemed a subsequent action following previous strikes on January 12, aimed at diminishing the Houthi's capability to target maritime vessels, including commercial ships, as stated in CENTCOM's official statement.

The Houthis have been engaging in retaliatory attacks against commercial vessels in the Red Sea, citing it as a response to Israel's military campaign in Gaza. However, on Thursday, the U.S. and U.K. launched counter-strikes on Houthi sites in an effort to disrupt their ability to target international shipping routes in the Red Sea.
