Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be fake, as no reports confirm the killing of Ayala Ben Gvir, the wife of Itamar Ben Gvir, in a gunfight in the Adora settlement.
Gunfight in the Adora Settlement in Hebron
According to Hebrew press reports, three Palestinians were observed sneaking into the Adora settlement near Hebron on Friday evening, January 11. They opened fire on Israeli army troops, resulting in the death of the Palestinians and an injury to an Israeli described by the Israeli army as a reservist soldier.
According to Palestinian sources, the three young men are from the town of Idna, west of Hebron. They are identified as Ismail Ahmed Abu Jahisha, Mahmoud Arafat Abu Jahisha, and Uday Ismail Abu Jahisha.
Family Sources Deny Palestinians’ Intention To Carry Out an Operation in Adora
On the other hand, Arab media outlets quote sources from the Palestinian youths' family, stating that “the young men commonly collect scrap metal and regularly traverse the settlement route.” The sources also mention that they “were martyred at the settlement's entrance by security guards on suspicion.”

The circulation of the claim comes in conjunction with the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which began on the October 7, 2023. The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression had risen to 23,708 people and 60,005 injuries.
