The Claim

A major shock for Tel Aviv and Paris. The French Embassy receives the body of General 'Alexandre Lando', head of the French security company 'New Century', which collaborated with the Israeli military in the Gaza war. He, along with 5 members of the company's special task force, was killed last night in the explosion of a decoy tunnel in Khan Yunis.

Emerging story

Recently, a viral photo on social media platform X claims to depict the French Embassy in Tel Aviv receiving the body of a general named Alexandre Lando. The caption alleges that Lando, the head of the French security company 'New Century,' died alongside five members of the company's Special Tasks Force in an explosion of a decoy tunnel in Gaza, where they were purportedly involved in the war alongside the Israeli army.

The photo is old and does not depict the French Embassy in Tel Aviv receiving the body of the commander of the French security company involved in the Gaza war alongside the Israeli army. Furthermore, there has been no announcement regarding the death of a general named Alexandre Lando.
