The Houthis Declare Targeting the U.S. Cargo Ship Ocean Jazz
The circulation of the video followed the announcement by the Houthi group in Yemen on Monday, January 22, of targeting an American military cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden with naval missiles.
The spokesman of Yemen's Houthi armed forces, Yahya Saree, stated, "In solidarity with the Palestinian people and in response to the American-British aggression on our country, the naval forces executed a military operation targeting the American cargo ship 'Ocean Jazz' in the Gulf of Aden with appropriate naval missiles."
He added, "A response to American and British attacks on Yemen is inevitable, and any new aggression will not go unanswered. The armed forces persist in preventing Israeli ships from heading to the ports of occupied Palestine until the cessation of Israeli aggression and the lifting of the blockade on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip."
The U.S. Military Denies Targeting the Vessel Ocean Jazz
After the Houthis' announcement, the U.S. military swiftly denied reports of an attack on the cargo ship Ocean Jazz in the Gulf of Aden. The Central Command of the Naval Forces stated, "The Iranian-backed Houthi's report of an alleged successful attack on Ocean Jazz is patently false."
