This Photo Does Not Show a UAE Medical Delegation Arriving in Israel During the Gaza War

Recently, accounts and pages on the social media platform X have circulated a picture claiming to show a UAE medical delegation that arrived in Israel to provide psychological treatment to Israeli occupation forces returning from the Gaza Strip.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be misleading. Upon examination, it was determined that the picture is old and does not depict a UAE medical delegation that arrived in Israel to assist in treating Israeli soldiers returning from the Gaza Strip during the ongoing war on Gaza.
An Arab Medical Delegation Arrived in Israel in 2021
The circulated photo dates back to June 2021, documenting a meeting between a medical delegation from the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, and Morocco with members of the Israeli Magen David Adom organization. At that time, they discussed ways of medical cooperation between Arab representatives and Israel under the slogan, "To save human lives without discrimination."
The Israeli organization also posted other photos from the meeting, indicating on its account on the X platform that the delegation includes representatives from the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco.
No Recent Reports of a Medical Delegation From the UAE Arriving in Israel
Misbar has not found reliable information about the arrival of any UAE medical teams in Israel since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza on October 7 of last year.
On May 18, 2023, the Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv reported a high-level UAE medical delegation's visit to the Wolfson Medical Center in Israel to enhance relations in medical research. According to the same source, the UAE delegation includes the CEO of Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services and the head of the UAE National Genome.
