It has been revealed that the Hebrew Channel 12 account on the X platform tweeted that February 4 was the busiest day since October 7 of the previous year, with 30,000 passengers on board 172 flights.

Regarding the story's details, Israeli news outlets quoted a spokesperson for the Airports Authority, who stated that approximately 29,200 passengers arrived and departed on 172 international flights at Ben Gurion Airport on February 4.
According to the statements, around 13,300 passengers arrived in Israel on these international flights, while approximately 15,900 passengers left.

Israeli aviation websites attributed the increase in air traffic congestion to the growing number of airlines resuming flights to Israel. Since the beginning of February, two French airlines, Transavia and Blue Bird, which operate flights to Athens, have resumed operations. The websites also stated that starting from February 8, Smart Wings, a Czech airline, will also resume operations.

370,000 Israelis Have Left Israel Since October 7

In December, news agencies quoted The Times of Israel, stating that 370,000 Israelis had left Israel since October 7, including 230,309 individuals in October and 139,839 in November. Additionally, the report indicated that 600,000 Israelis had traveled abroad for holidays before the start of the Gaza war, while approximately 370,000 others left during the war. It was also mentioned that around 470,000 Israelis who departed did not return.

The Number of Immigrants to Israel Has Decreased Since the Outbreak of the War

On the other side, a report issued by the Israeli Knesset on December 20 relied on data from the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, revealing that Israel registered 45,533 immigrants in 2023, a decrease from the 76,616 immigrants who arrived in 2022. Since the onset of the war, 2,403 immigrants have arrived in Israel during the months of October, November, and December. In comparison, there were 22,754 documented cases of immigration to Israel during the same period the previous year, indicating a 40% decline in immigration to Israel since the start of the Gaza war.
