Misbar investigated the circulating claim and found it to be misleading. The video clip is old and does not depict a Palestinian child trapped under the rubble following an Israeli airstrike on his family's home.

A Child Trapped Beneath the Rubble

The video was published on a YouTube channel named 'Haritan City,' on February 2, 2016. It was accompanied by a comment stating that it was filmed in the same city (Haritan) on the day it was published.

Russian Airstrikes Hit Northern Aleppo Countryside in February 2016

Arab news reports indicate that Russian fighter jets bombed the city of Hreitan in the northern countryside of Aleppo on February 2, 2016. The attack resulted in the death of 15 civilians and injuries to over 50 others, in addition to extensive damage to the city's buildings and infrastructure.

The media documented a ground military operation by Syrian regime forces, with air support from Russia, at dawn on the first of February 2016 in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The Ongoing Israeli Aggression on Gaza

The Israeli war on Gaza has been ongoing since October 7 of last year. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, the casualties of the current war, as of February 14, 2024, have risen to 28,567 Palestinian civilians, with 68,291 injuries.

During the past 24 hours, the ministry documented the occupation committing 11 massacres against Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip.
