Turkish websites reported that the ship, named 'M/V ATLANTIK CONFIDENCE,' belonged to the company Atlantic Maritime, owned by Ahmet AÄŸaoÄŸlu, the President of the Golf Federation.

They indicated that the ship sank at sea after a fire broke out, and all 21 crew members aboard were rescued.

The Houthis Claim to Target a British Cargo Ship and Shoot Down a u.s. Drone

The video surfaced after the Houthi group announced on Monday, February 19, 2024 that it had targeted a British-owned cargo ship and shot down a U.S. drone.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea stated in a press release that they had targeted “the British cargo ship RUBYMAR in the Gulf of Aden with several precise naval missiles."

Sarea further added that Houthi air defenses in Al Hudaydah, located in western Yemen, successfully shot down a U.S. drone.

The security company for the vessel 'RUBYMAR' reported that the cargo ship, registered under the Belizean flag, sustained damage after being targeted by two missiles launched from Yemen. However, the crew successfully evacuated the ship.
