Recently, a photo has gone viral on social media platform X, purporting to document the moment eight Israeli soldiers injured in Gaza arrived at Soroka Medical Center in Israel.

Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be misleading. The photo is outdated and does not depict Soroka Hospital receiving wounded soldiers or the bodies of Israeli soldiers injured in the ongoing battles in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Soldier Wounded and Evacuated After Clashes With an Egyptian Soldier
The photo dates back to June 3, 2023, and depicts an injured Israeli soldier arriving at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba following an altercation with Egyptian soldier Mohamed Salah along the Egyptian-Israeli border.
Earlier that day, the Egyptian soldier engaged in a firefight with Israeli soldiers guarding the borders with Egypt. He killed three of them and injured others. Salah was also killed on that day.
Israeli Soldiers Injured in the Ongoing War in Gaza
On Saturday, February 24, the Israeli army reported that seven soldiers were injured during confrontations last Thursday in Gaza with the Palestinian Resistance. This announcement comes amid ongoing battles in Khan Younis and the Al Zaytun neighborhood.
Furthermore, the Israeli occupation army announced on Sunday, the killing of a soldier and the injury of three others, including an officer, in battles in southern Gaza. This brings the death toll of the occupation army to 246 soldiers and officers, with over 2960 injured since the start of the ground operation in Gaza. Since October 7 of last year, 578 soldiers have been killed.
