Emerging story
Amid the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza, social media users widely claimed that Israeli top official Daniel Hagari resigned from his position as the head of the Israeli Occupation Spokesperson's Unit, along with other senior members of the Israeli military’s Spokesperson’s Unit.

Misbar investigated the widely circulated claim and found it to be fake.
No official Israeli sources reported that the head of the Israeli military’s spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, has resigned.
The Head of the Israeli Military’s Spokesperson Did Not Quit
According to the Jerusalem Post, based on a source from the Israeli Military, the Israeli Military’s spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, has not resigned.
The claim started circulating on Sunday night after Channel 14's Tamir Morag reported that a number of senior officials within the Israeli occupation spokesperson's unit simultaneously declared their resignations in the midst of the ongoing conflict.
One of those reportedly resigning from the unit was Colonel Shlomit Muller-Butbul, who holds the position of "number two" in the IOF spokesperson's unit.
The outlets said that she is currently in the process of resigning, and she had initially planned to leave the week the war began but delayed her leave due to the ongoing conflict.
Moreover, Moran Katz, a civilian employee of the IOF in the spokesperson’s unit at the colonel rank, was alleged to have resigned. The report mentioned that Katz decided to quit due to challenges from both professional and personal factors.
Contrary to reports, Col. Tzofiya Moshkovitz has not resigned. The report also mentioned the resignation of the IOF spokesperson to foreign media, Col. Richard Hecht. However, the claim that he resigned due to someone being positioned to "oversee him" is unfounded, according to a source cited by The Jerusalem Post.
Regarding Col. Merav Granot Stoller, who was reported to have resigned, the source clarified that she has simply reached retirement age and did not resign.
Al Jazeera Retracted the Claim
After Al Jazeera claimed that the head of the Israeli Occupation Spokesperson's Unit, Daniel Hagari, had resigned, the outlet retracted the statement on March 4.
In a Twitter post, the outlet clarified that what has been claimed about the resignation of Daniel Hagari, including senior members of the Israeli military’s Spokesperson’s Unit, is fake.
The tweet reads, “An update originally cited an Israeli report as saying that senior members of the Israeli military’s Spokesperson’s Unit, including high-ranking spokesperson Daniel Hagari, had resigned. That was incorrect, and the Israeli army has since denied it as "false." We have therefore retracted it.”
Gaza Children Died of Malnutrition As Israel Blocks Aids Entry
Since October 7, the toll from Israeli attacks in Gaza stands at 30,717 Palestinians killed and 72,156 wounded.
Growing demands for increased aid access to Gaza intensify as health officials report additional deaths from malnutrition and dehydration. In response, children in Gaza protest the scarcity of food and water in the besieged enclave. Health authorities confirm 18 deaths from malnutrition and dehydration.
In the southern city of Rafah, children hold a banner declaring, "Stop our daily death," while some carry burial shrouds on stretchers to symbolize those who have succumbed to hunger. These protests represent the latest in a series of demonstrations by children urging quick action from Arab countries and the international community.
