The Israeli Occupation Forces Invaded al-Shifa Hospital, Killing 50 Individuals

Yesterday, the Israeli military invaded Gaza's largest hospital, al-Shifa, where many civilians sought refuge.

According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, approximately 30,000 people were sheltering in al-Shifa, with attempts to leave met with sniper fire and helicopter attacks. The occupants of the hospital accused Israel of disregarding the safety of patients and medical staff. Hamada Abdelhadi, a displaced Palestinian seeking shelter at al-Shifa, said that military vehicles were firing at the hospital and individuals within its hallways.

Abdelhadi stated that the operation commenced abruptly at 2:38 a.m. local time, resulting in casualties among those on the hospital grounds. He mentioned that the Israeli military removed the injured and deceased.

Moreover, several individuals were reportedly arrested, and Al Jazeera stated that its correspondent, Ismail Al-Ghoul, and his team were detained and subjected to severe beatings before being relocated to an unknown location and released after 12 hours.

The Israeli military has reported that at least 50 people were killed and many others detained during the raid on Gaza's al-Shifa Hospital.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Is Determined to Continue War Crimes

Since October 7, Israel has reported more than 31,819 Palestinian fatalities and over 73,934 injuries.

The White House has announced a forthcoming meeting between American and Israeli officials in Washington to explore alternatives to a ground invasion of Gaza's southern city of Rafah, anticipated to take place next week.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated on Tuesday his commitment to achieving Israel's objectives in Gaza, despite escalating international pressure after over five months of conflict.

Volker Turk, the United Nations human rights chief, cautioned that Israel's ongoing limitations on aid access into Gaza could potentially constitute the war crime of starvation.
