Emerging story
Amidst the current conflict between Israel and Gaza, social media users widely circulated a video clip purporting to feature members of ISIS issuing threats to Hamas and beheading a supporter of the al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas) in Sinai.

2018 Video of the ISIS Declaration of War on Hamas
Contrary to social media users’ claim, the video is older than claimed; it dates back to January 2018.
The video features Hamza al-Zamli ordering the execution of a captive accused of smuggling weapons to Hamas. This footage is part of a propaganda video released by the Sinai branch of the Islamic State.
Hamza al-Zamli called for targeting Hamas by all means, including bombs and explosives, and described the movement and its military wing as apostates and infidels.
The individual appearing in the video firing shots at the victim is Mohammed al-Dajani, a member who fled Gaza. The victim is named Musa Abu Zammat, who is also from Gaza.
In Gaza, the Palestinian al-Dajani family has declared the disowning of their son Mohammed al-Dajani after his appearance in a video where he killed Abu Zammat.
