Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be fake. The image is indeed fabricated, as Forbes did not feature Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the cover of its April issue. Furthermore, Forbes has never ranked him as the most powerful man in the world or the most powerful of all time.

The Iranian Attack on Israel

The claim emerged following an Iranian attack on Israel on April 13, employing hundreds of drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. Iran dubbed this military operation 'The True Promise' in retaliation for an Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus earlier that month and accused Israel of orchestrating the attack.

The Israeli military reported successfully intercepting over 200 Iranian targets. Rockets struck an Israeli military airport, resulting in minor material damage and causing head injuries to a young girl.

Iran claimed that half of its missiles hit Israeli targets. Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the Iranian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, clarified that the operation aimed to strike the airbase from which Israeli planes had launched the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
