Misbar’s Analysis

Misbar investigated the circulating video and found the claim to be misleading.

Misbar's team found that the video depicts the massacre of the Al-Tabbatibi family in March, not from Rafah recently.

As reported by Nabd on March 16, Gaza bid farewell to 36 martyrs, predominantly children and women, who lost their lives in a massacre perpetrated by the occupying forces. This tragedy occurred following the bombing of a residence in the Nuseirat refugee camp, located in the heart of the Gaza Strip.

E.U. Condemns Netanyahu's Actions in Rafah Amidst Ceasefire Talks

The E.U.'s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday for disregarding international calls to refrain from attacking Rafah, a new focal point in the ongoing seven-month war. Despite Hamas agreeing to a draft ceasefire, Netanyahu has pledged to proceed with the attack on Rafah, with Israeli forces already seizing control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing, a crucial entry point for aid to Gaza along the Egyptian border.

Borrell labeled this move as a land offensive, expressing concern over the disregard for international appeals to avoid such actions. He emphasized the potential for civilian casualties, particularly among Gaza's 600,000 children, and warned against the false notion of "safety zones" in Gaza.

U.N. Agency Warns of Humanitarian Crisis Amid Seizure of Rafah Border Crossing

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) cautioned on Tuesday that Israeli forces' seizure of the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing could severely disrupt humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. UNRWA emphasized that the continued interruption of aid and fuel supplies at the Rafah crossing would impede critical humanitarian response operations across the Gaza Strip.

The agency highlighted the potential exacerbation of the already dire hunger situation, particularly in northern Gaza, if these vital supply routes are disrupted. Israel's military confirmed its control of the crossing, which serves as a vital entry point for humanitarian aid to Gaza, prompting concerns about the halt in movement at the facility.
