Hezbollah Leader Warns Israel of War With ‘No Red Lines’
Hezbollah has vowed a fight with “no red lines” if a full-scale war erupts between Lebanon and Israel, cautioning neighboring Cyprus against getting involved in the conflict. Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah stated that the Lebanese group has information indicating Israel is “conducting maneuvers in preparation for the Lebanon war” in Cyprus.
In response, Cyprus' President Nikos Christodoulides emphasized on Wednesday that Cyprus is not involved in the conflict and is committed to being part of the solution.
During a televised speech at a memorial service for a senior Hezbollah commander killed by an Israeli airstrike, Nasrallah warned that “no place will be safe from our missiles and drones” if war breaks out between Lebanon and Israel. He also mentioned that Hezbollah has acquired new weapons, though he did not provide specifics. Nasrallah also said that Hezbollah's fighters now number over 100,000.
The U.N. Secretary-General has warned that a full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah would be "a catastrophe."
