The circulating video does not show the famous football player Cristiano Ronaldo reading the holy Quran. It shows an Iraqi national based in the U.K. who resembles Cristiano Ronaldo.

Contrary to social media users' circulating claim, the video does not show the Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. The video features an Iraqi national living in the U.K. who resembles Cristiano Ronaldo.
The video was first posted on the TikTok platform, by Bewar Abdullah (@bewarabdullah) on July 20, 2021, with a caption that reads “Eat Mubarek” as a greeting for Eid al-Adha.
British news media also reported on Bewara’s popularity, according to a report published by the Sun. Uk Abdullah has been attracting global attention due to his resemblance to Cristiano Ronaldo as he left Iraq in 2019 and attracted attention in England due to his striking resemblance with Al Nassr club footballer.
