The video dates back to March 28, 2017, when Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Rally party in France, appeared as a guest on the morning radio program Europe 1 with host Thomas Sotto.

In the video, Le Pen is seen laughing during a mimicry by comedian Nicolas Canteloup, who imitated her along with French President Emmanuel Macron and other politicians. The radio station released the full interview on YouTube on October 8, 2021.

The Left-Wing Alliance Has Won French Legislative Election

The video clip began circulating after the left-wing New Popular Front coalition secured the largest number of seats in the second round of France's recent legislative elections.

Final results released on Monday showed the New Popular Union coalition winning 180 out of 577 seats in the French National Assembly. President Macron's centrist alliance secured 163 seats, while the far-right National Rally and its allies gained 143 seats. No alliance or party managed to secure an absolute majority in the French parliament.

After the election results were announced, Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right National Rally party, thanked those who supported her coalition. In a post on her official Facebook account, she expressed gratitude, saying, "Many thanks to the ten million voters who have made the National Rally the top party in both votes and seats!" She highlighted the remarkable progress they've achieved in two years, ensuring their inevitable short-term victory and pushing them to identify areas for improvement in the future.

In the same context, Marine Le Pen spoke to French media, stating that "our victory is merely delayed." She confidently asserted that the National Rally's triumph is a matter of time, reaffirming its status as France's leading party. Speaking on TF1, she remarked, "The momentum is building. It didn't rise sufficiently this time, but it continues to rise, meaning our victory is only postponed," emphasizing that her experience prevents her from feeling disheartened and that the result doubles their number of MPs.
