The Capsizing of the Iranian Warship ‘Talayieh’ in 2021
Iranian and international media outlets published the circulated scene in December 2021, stating that it depicts the capsizing of an Iranian Navy ship known as 'Talaieh' in the dry dock at Bandar Abbas port, southern Iran.
The Sinking of the Iranian Warship Sahand
On July 7, media outlets documented the capsizing of the Iranian warship Sahand at Bandar Abbas port. They reported that the incident occurred while the ship was undergoing repairs on the dock due to imbalance caused by water leakage into its tanks.
According to local media, Sahand, one of Iran's newest frigates, was launched in November 2018. It is equipped with a helicopter landing deck, torpedo launchers, anti-aircraft and anti-ship guns, and air defense missiles.
