Old Footage: ISIS Targets Hamas in 2018 Video

Misbar's team found that the video is not recent. It dates back to January 2018, when The Islamic State has intensified its conflict with the Palestinian Hamas group.

As reported by The Washington Post at the time of the incident, the Islamic State released a 22-minute video urging its followers to attack Hamas. The video includes the execution of a man whom they describe as a collaborator. 

It points to Hamas's repression of Islamist militant groups in Gaza and their inability to stop the U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital as reasons for the attacks. 

The video opens with a clip of President Trump’s announcement regarding Jerusalem from the previous month.

ICJ Declares Israel's Occupation of Palestinian Territory Unlawful

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has stated that Israel's ongoing presence in the occupied Palestinian territory is unlawful and should end "as rapidly as possible." On Friday, Nawaf Salam, the ICJ president in The Hague, presented the non binding advisory opinion from the 15-judge panel regarding Israel's occupation. 

While advisory in nature, the ruling concluded that Israel lacks sovereignty over the occupied territory, has violated international laws against the acquisition of territory through force, and is obstructing the Palestinian right to self-determination. Additionally, the ICJ determined that countries have a responsibility not to provide assistance in maintaining Israel's presence in the territory.

There has been a significant international response following the ruling by the United Nations' highest court, stating that Israel's ongoing presence in the occupied Palestinian territory is unlawful and should be ended promptly.

Palestinian officials have described the International Court of Justice ruling as a "watershed moment" in their long struggle for justice. In contrast, Israel swiftly condemned the decision made on Friday, and on Saturday, its closest ally, the United States, voiced criticisms of the ruling after initially remaining silent.

Intense Airstrikes Hit Hodeidah After Israeli Retaliation for Drone Attack

Powerful airstrikes struck the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah a day after Israeli officials declared intentions for revenge following a drone attack that targeted Tel Aviv. The airstrikes impacted a refinery and electrical infrastructure, igniting a massive fire. This marked the first direct assault on Yemen since Houthi rebels began launching missiles and drones at Israel last year.

All previous attacks had been intercepted, until the strike on Tel Aviv on Friday, which resulted in one fatality and at least ten injuries. The Almasirah television channel, associated with Yemen's Houthi movement, reported on Saturday evening that airstrikes targeted the city.

Images shared on social media, which could not be independently verified, depicted large clouds of smoke and flames near the port. Almasirah claimed that the attacks on the oil facilities caused fatalities. The Israeli Forces stated that their fighter jets hit military targets in Hodeidah Port “in response to the hundreds of attacks carried out against the State of Israel in recent months.”
