Targeting of Iranian Consulate in Damascus
The video was posted on April 1, following the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, which resulted in the deaths of several members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
The attack in the Mezzeh district of Damascus destroyed the building entirely, with both Iran and Syria accusing Israel of carrying out the operation.
Ismail Haniyeh’s Assassination in Tehran

Hamas released a statement mourning "our brother, the martyr and leader Ismail Haniyeh, President of the movement, who was killed in a treacherous Zionist airstrike on his residence in Tehran, after attending the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian president."
Iranian state television reported the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, indicating that an investigation is underway and results will be announced soon.
In a statement, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard said it is examining "the circumstances of Haniyeh's assassination in Tehran and will release the investigation results later."

National and Islamic forces in the Palestinian territories have announced a strike and planned marches to protest the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned Haniyeh's assassination, saying in his first response, "We strongly condemn the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh," and calling it "a cowardly act and a serious escalation."

Who Is Ismail Haniyeh?
Ismail Haniyeh, also known as "Abu Al-Abed," is a prominent Palestinian political leader and the head of the Political Bureau of Hamas. He previously served as the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority from 2006, after Hamas won the parliamentary elections. In May 2017, he was elected as the President of Hamas's Political Bureau.
Haniyeh was first detained by Israeli forces in 1987, during the early days of the Palestinian intifada, and was held for 18 days. He was arrested again in 1988 and spent six months in prison. In 1989, he was imprisoned for three years on charges related to his affiliation with Hamas, and subsequently exiled to Marj al-Zuhour in southern Lebanon. He returned to the Gaza Strip after a year in exile, following the Oslo Accords, and became the head of the Islamic bloc at the Islamic University of Gaza.
Haniyeh has survived multiple assassination attempts by Israel. On September 6, 2003, he was injured during an Israeli airstrike targeting several Hamas leaders, including Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.
During its wars on Gaza, Israel has bombed Haniyeh’s home in attempts to assassinate him.
