Doctored Photo of Tim Walz’s Agenda

The photo first appeared on a Reddit account called Political Humors, with a satirical caption reading 'Tim Walz's Radical Democrat Agenda for America.'

Misbar’s team checked the photo with a fake image detector tool and found that it appears to be a computer-generated or modified image.

Also, we double-checked the photo with the FotoForensics tool, which showed which parts of the image were altered.

Tim Walz’s Controversies Under the Republican Microscope

The real photo that appeared on the Fox News website was published with the title 'Five Controversies Surrounding Vice Presidential Nominee Tim Walz, from DUI to COVID Fraud.' Walz, the governor of Minnesota, served in the U.S. Congress from 2007 to 2018.

The article discusses the controversies that Republicans have begun to use in their attacks against the Democratic nominee. In 1995, Walz was initially charged with driving under the influence and speeding, but he pleaded guilty only to speeding. Critics also argue that his response to the Minneapolis riots after George Floyd's death in 2020 was inadequate as governor.

The third controversy involves implementing strict measures, including a controversial hotline for reporting violations, and criticism for oversight failures in a scandal involving pandemic aid fraud during COVID-19.

The article accused Walz of making inappropriate comments and potentially intervening in a police shooting case.

Walz’s Progressive Agenda on School Lunches and Climate

Walz presents himself as the hero of progressive values who, as Minnesota governor, signed a substantial budget to make school meals free, established a child tax credit, created a paid family and medical leave program, and set goals to cut greenhouse gases.

'We’re pretty sure it’s going to mean a fairer, more inclusive, better, and more prosperous Minnesota,' Walz said while signing the budget.

The progressives, as they call themselves, worked to make American society a better and safer place in which to live. They aimed to make big businesses more responsible through various regulations, according to the Library of Congress.

Trickle-down economics, adopted by the Republicans, employs policies that include tax breaks and benefits for corporations and the wealthy, which are supposed to trickle down to benefit everyone.

Donald Trump and his running mate, Vance, the opposing candidates, were quick to criticize Walz as too liberal.

'This is the most radical left duo in American history,' Trump wrote on his social media platform.

Government aid programs and labor unions, according to opponents, eliminate innovation, stifle productivity, and weaken work ethics, all of which slow down economic progress.
