Recently, an image of a stadium filled with people went viral on X purporting that it depicts a picture of Kamala Harris supporters.

Misbar investigated the viral image and found it to be Satirical.
This Image of Kamala Harris Supporters is AI-Generated and Satirical
The image in question does not depict real supporters of Kamala Harris. It is an AI-generated image created by an X account posting parody content.
An account on X, named Dr. Literaleigh A Pheline, commented in response to one of the accounts that shared the image saying that they were the creator of the image just for satirical means.
The deformation caused by AI generation could be realized by the trained eye.
For further investigation, Misbar’s team analyzed the image in an AI-generation detector, called Hive, and found the result to be a 99.9% AI-generated photo.
Misinformation Targeting Harris
Many fake claims targeted Kamala Harris since the announcement of Kamala seeking the Democratic nomination for president. The claims questioned her eligibility and background.
Some users on X claimed that Harris is not an American citizen and is ineligible to be president of the United States.
However, Harris is a U.S. citizen and was born on Oct 20, 1964, in Oakland, California, according to a copy of her birth certificate, obtained by The Associated Press. According to the 14th Amendment to the Constitution, anyone “born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
This claim circulated years ago and resurfaced again. Misbar investigated the claim when it appeared back then and found it to be fake.
Another claim spread on social media says that Harris promised to inflict the “vengeance of a nation” on anybody who endorsed Trump.
However, Harris did not say that. The claim originated from a satirical article published in August 2019 that was deleted later on the website Bustatroll.org, and people shared it thinking it was true.
Kamala Harris Says That Now Is Time To Ceasefire In Gaza
At her speech in Arizona, United States Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris said that now is the time for a ceasefire deal in Israel’s war on Gaza as pro-Palestine protesters interrupted her campaign rally in the city of Glendale in Arizona.
“I have been clear: now is the time to get a ceasefire deal and get the hostage deal done,” Harris said as she addressed the protesters. She added that she and the president are working around the clock every day in order to reach a ceasefire deal and “bring the hostages home.”
However, Harris and President Joe Biden have not stopped their support of Israel and are still sending more military aid as Israel continues its bombardment of Gaza.
Before Harris’s speech in Arizona, she was frustrated at her speech in Michigan after pro-Palestine protesters interrupted her speech, shouting, “Kamala, Kamala you can’t hide, we won’t vote for genocide.”
Harris’s response was described as blunt and was widely criticized online as she said, “You know what, if you want Donald Trump to win, then say that. Otherwise, I’m speaking.”
