Michelle Obama’s Strong Critique of Donald Trump at the Democratic National Convention

The circulation of the claim came after Michelle Obama received widespread acclaim for her pointed criticism of Donald Trump during her speech at the Democratic National Convention. In a 20-minute address that was met with enthusiastic applause from Democratic delegates in her hometown of Chicago, the former First Lady skillfully mocked Trump and condemned his use of racial issues for political advantage.

“For years, Donald Trump has done everything in his power to instill fear in people. His limited and narrow worldview made him feel threatened by the presence of two hardworking, highly educated, and successful individuals who happen to be Black,” Obama stated, referencing Trump’s well-documented animosity toward her husband, Barack Obama, including his promotion of the false conspiracy theory regarding Obama’s birthplace.

In a recent televised debate with Joe Biden in June, Trump also referred to “Black jobs” to describe the economic threat he claimed illegal migrants posed to African Americans.

“I want to know, who’s going to tell him?” Michelle Obama asked during her speech. “Who’s going to tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those Black jobs?” This remark elicited prolonged cheers from the convention audience and garnered praise on social media.

Trump Holds Campaign Rally Under Heavy Security Following Assassination Attempt

Former President Donald Trump held his most recent campaign event on Wednesday, secured by bulletproof glass and monitored by counter snipers positioned on nearby rooftops. This was his first outdoor rally outside of his properties since a gunman targeted him during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last month.

This rally marked Trump’s third effort to counter the Democratic National Convention, continuing his series of events in battleground states focused on important electoral issues.

At the event in Asheboro, North Carolina, Trump highlighted national security, critiquing the Biden-Harris administration's management of foreign conflicts, the Afghanistan withdrawal, negotiations involving American hostages, and similar topics.

In contrast to his smaller, more personal rallies in Pennsylvania and Michigan earlier in the week, this event was his largest thus far, drawing thousands of supporters. Many attendees remarked that the setup in Asheboro resembled the Butler rally, with Trump speaking in front of the American flag in an open field.

According to previous reports from ABC News, the U.S. Secret Service has started to stockpile sets of bulletproof glass panels across the country for quick deployment when needed. Although this security measure is usually reserved for sitting presidents, the Secret Service made an exception for Trump following the assassination attempt. They had cautioned him against holding outdoor events after the Butler incident, where a gunman opened fire from a rooftop, injuring Trump and killing a bystander.

Since July 13, Trump has held nearly a dozen campaign events, all indoors.

Claiming that the United States was held in high regard during his presidency, Trump warned that a potential Kamala Harris administration would be disastrous, stating, “If Comrade Kamala wins this November, World War Three is virtually guaranteed to happen. Everything she touches, she destroys.”
