Netanyahu Runs Inside the Knesset Building In 2021
The circulating video dates back to December 2021 and shows Benjamin Netanyahu running toward the Knesset's plenary session to participate in a vote taking place at that time. One of his aides recorded the moment, and Netanyahu posted the clip on his official X account, captioning it, "I'm always proud to run for you. This was filmed half an hour ago in the Knesset."
Iran Launches Ballistic Missile Attack Against Israel
The misleading claim emerged alongside Iran's launch of ballistic missiles on Tuesday evening, targeting Israeli security facilities, including the Mossad headquarters, according to a statement from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
In an official statement, the Revolutionary Guard announced the "launch of dozens of ballistic missiles at important military and security targets deep within the occupied territories," adding that this attack is "in response to the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, Hassan Nasrallah, and Revolutionary Guard commander Abbas Nilforoushan."
The Revolutionary Guard further stated that any Israeli military response to this operation would be met with even more destructive attacks.
Netanyahu Vows Retaliation Against Iran After Missile Attack on Israel
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the Iranian missile attack on Israel was a failure and vowed to respond.
During a political-security meeting, he said, "Iran made a big mistake tonight, and it will pay for it. The regime in Iran does not understand our determination to defend ourselves and our determination to retaliate against our enemies."
The Israeli military announced after the operation that the threat from the Iranian attack had ended, adding that it would retaliate strongly tonight across the Middle East in response to the Iranian ballistic missile attack on Israel.
