Misbar investigated the claim and found it to be misleading, as the video shows old footage depicting the destruction left by Hurricane Michael in Florida in 2018, not damage caused by Hurricane Milton.
Hurricane Michael’s Destruction in Florida, 2018
The first three scenes of the video, from the start until second 0:19, are from Hurricane Michael, which hit Florida in 2018. These scenes were uploaded to YouTube on October 11, 2018, and document the destruction caused by the hurricane. The video description notes that the damage occurred at Tyndall Air Force Base.
The fourth scene was posted on October 10, 2018, showing the devastation in Panama City Beach, Florida, due to Hurricane Michael. The fifth and sixth scenes, published on October 11, 2018, feature aerial footage showing the damage to a school and the collapse of buildings in Panama City.
