Recently, social media users have been circulating a video claiming to depict Hezbollah striking another Israeli military base following the killing of four Israeli soldiers by a drone on Sunday night at the Golani training base near Binyamina in north-central Israel.
An account called Sprinter shared the video with the caption, “Hezbollah successfully targeted another Israeli military base.”

Misbar investigated the circulating video and found the claim to be misleading. Misbar’s team found that the video is outdated and dates back to 2023.
Israeli Army Responds to Rocket Attacks From Lebanon
The video was recorded in November 2023, when several rockets and mortars were launched from Lebanon at the northern settlements of Arab al-Aramshe and Bar'am, as well as the Biranit army post.
The attacks did not result in any injuries, but the Biranit base sustained significant damage and caught fire.
According to the Israeli army, fighter planes, combat helicopters, and tanks targeted Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon in response to these attacks.
Hezbollah Drone Attack Kills Four Israeli Soldiers
The viral video has resurfaced after the drone strike targeting an army base in northern Israel on October 14, which killed four soldiers and injured 58 others. Reports indicated that seven soldiers were seriously injured in the attack on a site "adjacent to Binyamina," a town about 20 miles south of Haifa.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that it targeted an Israeli army Golani Brigade training center in the area between Tel Aviv and Haifa. The group's media office said the strike was in response to Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon and Beirut.
The Israel Air Force conducted numerous airstrikes targeting Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley over the past day, including infrastructure along the Lebanon-Syria border. The forces announced that it killed Khader al-Abd Bhaja, the head of Hezbollah's aerial unit in the northern Litani sector, in Nabatiyeh several days ago.
Israel’s Invasion of Lebanon Fuels Ongoing Conflict
The confrontation between Hezbollah and Israel escalated after previously sporadic fighting erupted on October 8, 2023, the day after Hamas fighters launched an unprecedented attack on Israel.
Hezbollah has since launched more than 8,000 missiles into northern Israel and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. It has also fired anti-tank missiles at armored vehicles and targeted military locations with explosive drones.
Israel has killed more than a dozen key Hezbollah commanders and appears to have destroyed hundreds more weapons in airstrikes.
On October 1, Israeli troops entered southern Lebanon to eradicate the Hezbollah threat. Approximately 1,000 civilians were killed during the fighting.
On October 16, Lebanese state media reported 138 airstrikes on Lebanon in the last 24 hours, with most occurring in the south and Nabatieh.
While Israeli forces say 90 projectiles—usually meaning rockets—have crossed into the country in the last 24 hours.
