The two images were posted on the Instagram account Eyes of Lebanon, which focuses on news related to Lebanon, after airstrikes near Beirut airport on Sunday evening, titled "Intense Attacks Around Beirut Airport." The account confirmed in the description that the images "were generated using Ai depicting the real situation."

Indicators Confirm the Images Are AI-Generated

In the image showing a plane landing at Beirut airport amid a large fire nearby, the wings of the aircraft, the flames, and the rising smoke appear inconsistent, and some features of the plane are unclear. These distortions typically occur in images created using artificial intelligence.

The image depicting a plane attempting to land at Beirut airport belongs to Middle East Airlines, but the visual details of the aircraft are inconsistent with the actual specifications of the airline's planes. While the cedar tree logo, representing the Lebanese national flag and seen on the airline's planes, is present in the image, the logo appears unbalanced.

Additionally, the paint pattern on the wings and midsection of the plane does not align with the actual design of Middle East Airlines aircraft. These discrepancies in detail suggest that the image may be fake or modified using artificial intelligence.

In the second image, the flames and smoke rise unnaturally, with inconsistent details in the shape of the plane and the surrounding buildings. These elements indicate that the image was likely created using artificial intelligence, as unnatural features in images often serve as evidence of digital alteration or design with AI tools.

Israeli Airstrikes Target Areas Near Beirut Airport

The circulation of this claim followed intense airstrikes conducted by the Israeli army on the southern suburbs of Beirut, targeting branches of the "Qard al-Hassan" association affiliated with Hezbollah, including a site near Rafic Hariri International Airport.

Videos captured the moment of the airstrike, showing rising smoke and extensive damage to the buildings targeted near the airport.

The Ongoing Israeli War on Lebanon

The Israeli army continues its intense aggression against Lebanon, resulting in more casualties and injuries due to heavy shelling in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The Israeli army announced that its aircraft conducted airstrikes overnight on several sites in Beirut and southern Lebanon based on intelligence information. It claimed that these sites were used by Hezbollah to store funds.
