A video went viral on X claiming to show leaked footage showing 3D blueprints of Tel Aviv buildings in which it appears to contain missiles.
The 3D blueprints were shared by the Indian TV channel TV9 Bharatvarsh, one of the most popular TV channels in India, as it was covering the updates between Hezbollah and Israel. The channel even consulted an expert to analyze the blueprints.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the 3D blueprints and found them to be satirical of the ongoing Israeli claims about the existence of Hezbollah’s arsenal allegedly hidden inside residential buildings in southern Lebanon.
Satirical Content of The Israeli Misinformation
Misbar’s team searched for the leaked 3D blueprints and did not find them published on any credible media outlets.
One of the users who uploaded the 3D blueprints confirmed that they were satirical. Commenting on the coverage of the Indian channel TV9 Bharatvarsh, the user said, “They look too serious I hope they know it's satire.”
Similar 3D blueprints were shared previously by the same X user. After the targeting of Netanyahu’s house, the user shared a 3D blueprint claiming to show a rocket hidden inside Netanyahu’s house.
To conclude, these 3D blueprints are satirical of the Israeli claims of the existence of the Hezbollah arsenal in residential buildings in southern Lebanon.
Israeli Claims of The Existence of Hezbollah’s Arsenal Inside Residential Buildings
When Israel issued orders of evacuation to the residents of southern Lebanon, it justified the orders that Hezbollah is keeping its arsenal in the residential houses.
However, the observer would see keeping an arsenal inside a home as impossible.
The official account of the Israeli military has previously shared a similar claim, alleging that the IOF has found a rocket kept inside a residential home in southern Lebanon.
The post was later deleted after some observers noted the flaws in the claim, and was replaced with another post that did not mention the existence of the rocket inside a residential home.
Similarly, Israel used the same allegation to accuse UNIFIL of associating with Hezbollah.
Misbar investigated the Israeli claims and concluded that Hezbollah would not arrange a stash of weapons in plain sight for Israeli drones to spot.
Haaretz: Tel Aviv Has Military Infrastructure Endangering Israelis
The Defense Ministry which is located in the heart of Tel Aviv may be a threat to the lives of the Israelis there as launching attacks on it is permitted.
In an article by the Israeli paper Haaretz, the paper raises concerns about the location of the Defense Ministry and General Staff base in the Tel Aviv Kirya.
Given that the General Staff could always be a target for Israel’s enemies in a war situation, the Israeli historian said in the paper that the Defense Ministry should have been placed outside the urban area of Tel Aviv in accordance with Article 58 of the Geneva Conventions which stipulates that parties to a conflict should avoid locating military objectives within or near densely populated areas.
