Misleading Claims of Election Fraud Resurface on Social Media
The Claim
And here are, Election Fraud Officials on videos filling out ballots on behalf of your overthrown government.
Emerging story
Recently, social media users have been circulating a video claiming to show election fraud officials filling up blank ballots.
Misbar’s Analysis
Misbar investigated the circulating video and found the claim to be misleading.
Misbar's team found that the video was shared during the 2020 election, making the same accusation that a poll worker in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, was filling out one blank ballot.
Misbar also found that the video shared was taken from the official live stream provided by Delaware County; however, the version that circulated had been zoomed in to exclude the surrounding area. This edited video omitted bipartisan observers who were situated no more than six feet away and failed to capture the complete context of the situation, as stated by a county spokesperson on November 6, 2020.
The cropped footage depicts an election worker appearing to work alone at a table while marking a ballot. In contrast, the full video reveals that the worker was at a table surrounded by colleagues in a room filled with people, with bipartisan observers positioned at either end of the table, closely monitoring the worker from approximately six feet away. This setup had been established by the Election Bureau in agreement with the former Republican Chairman of Delaware County Council, who was acting as counsel for the Delaware County Republican Party.
Trump and Harris Campaign in Key Southern States
With just three days remaining until the election, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump held rallies in crucial Southern battleground states on Saturday, with Trump in North Carolina and Harris in Georgia. The vice president later conducted her own rally in North Carolina, emphasizing the state's significance as Election Day approaches.
Both Trump and Harris have been actively campaigning in North Carolina as the election draws to a close. Meanwhile, voters have been queuing at polling stations, as today marks the deadline for early voting in the state.
