Old Video Shows Aftermath of Gaza Resistance’s Rockets on Tel Aviv

Contrary to social media users’ claim, the video is not recent, nor is it related to the Yemeni Houthis attack on Israel.

Misbar’s team traced the original video clip back to October 7, 2023, showing the aftermath of Palestinian resistance missiles in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Shehab Agency, a Palestinian local news outlet, uploaded the video to X at the time, under the translated caption, “Extensive destruction in Tel Aviv after Gaza rockets fall on it.”

Mynet, an Israeli news outlet, shared the same video on October 7, 2023, saying it displays the aftermath of a missile fire on Bat Yam in Tel Aviv.

The outlet published the article titled “Operation Iron Sword,” referring to Israel's war on Gaza, which the Palestinian resistance named “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood,” starting on October 7, 2023.

Yemeni Houthis Claimed Attack on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport

On December 27, Yemeni Houthis announced firing a hypersonic missile at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport.

The Houthis also reported launching drones targeting Tel Aviv and a ship in the Arabian Sea, affirming that Israeli “aggression will only increase the determination and resolve of the great Yemeni people to continue supporting the Palestinian people.”

Israel's military stated, “One missile that was launched from Yemen was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory.”

On December 21, the Israeli military admitted it failed to intercept a missile from Yemen, which landed in the Tel Aviv-Jaffa area.

A Houthi spokesperson confirmed the group struck a “military target” in Jaffa using a ballistic missile.

Israel’s emergency medical service, Magen David Adom (MDA), reported that 16 people sustained minor injuries.

Israel Airstrikes Struck Yemen’s Sana’a International Airport

Israeli airstrikes targeted Yemen’s main airport on Thursday as a civilian Airbus carrying hundreds of passengers landed and a U.N. delegation prepared to depart, according to Julien Harneis, the U.N.'s top humanitarian official in Yemen.

The U.N. reported that the airstrikes killed at least three people and injured dozens, including a crew member of the U.N. Humanitarian Air Service.

Harneis stated that the head of the U.N. World Health Organization was present in the airport's lounge when the attack occurred.

The Israeli occupation forces claimed it was unaware that the WHO chief or the U.N. delegation were present at the airport during the strikes.
